Clinton Young

Clinton Young is the consummate entertainer. The ever energetic lead singer loves to mix with audiences by going out to the dance floor and to tables to serenade couples at every venue.
Clinton was born into a musical family. His Dad played in a 15-piece orchestra at the age of 16, moving on to play with many more until the late 60's. Clinton's Mom was also was very talented singer/pianist ... it was a natural progression for Clinton.

When asked about degrees, Clinton said, "I have masters in rhythm a minor in soul and a PHD in the blues!" In addition to his Mom & Dad, Clinton's greatest influences come from Bob Seger, Delbert McClinton, and Ray Charles. Clinton prides himself on his ability to interact with people in the crowds we play for "to make them feel they are part of our show , to connect on a personal level."

Witness one of our performances and you can tell Clinton loves to perform for an audience and loves the camaraderie' of playing with City Limit. "I love the energy, the musicianship is top shelf, and just a great group of guys I call my friends." I started in 1982 playing with Bitter Creek (3 yr run then to Magnum (7 yr run), then "Split Decision" before forming City Limit.
